The Maple Bug
This is a strange bug, only found in certain areas that grow lots of Maple trees, This bug is attracted to unaware victims and it's bite goes unnoticed at first.
The victim starts to appear dazed and confused with the inability to think straight as he feverishly browses catalogs and websites for information.
It's venom lasts year round , in early spring it drives the victim mad, with the need to spend long hours in a shack boiling countless gallons of maple sap into the rich sweet maple syrup.
In summer the victim is found wandering aimlessly through woods mumbling "I can tap that" and "that dead branch will make a good fire"
In autumn as the leaves start changing, our victim is getting worried and starts buying up anything that "looks like it will hold sap" or spending too much time in the woods hanging pipes, and more shopping through catalogs and websites.
The Victim prays for winter to come quick hoping that spring will come even quicker, he loves the idea of trudging through waist deep snow to drill holes in the Maple trees that he found in summer.
Finally all over again the sap starts flowing and the victim is relentlessly making maple syrup at all hours of the day
